Yui charges in with Cid's invitation, hoping to test the waters so to speak. She angled herself forwards and leaped into the air, trying to keep her height somewhat low to avoid being blown off the airship. She wouldn't pass the highest point of the ship, even at her peak height, just in case.

It was a gamble, but she needed to show she could be semi-competent later.

Yui let the wind take her, slowly starting to push her back once her momentum had been used up. She relaxed as she traveled the length of the airship in the air, turning herself so that she would be horizontal by comparison to the main deck.

She had the potential to go flying straight off the airship, since it was in motion, but that was part of the gamble. Yui kept moving along the ship, slowly picking up speed until she came into contact with a larger portion of structure at the back of the ship.

Yui's landing was a little janky due to the nature of her jump, crouching down against the structure as she reopened her eyes. She had only a few moments to do what she intended before she'd inevitably fall on her face, her body still angled horizontally. She wasn't going to let that happen, however, as she pushed herself off of the ships structure and launched herself a second time.

Despite going against the wind due to the airship being in motion, Yui still gained quite a bit of speed. She matched and surpassed the speed of the airship almost instantly as she brought her spear forward to guide her, coming in at a sharp angle due to the nature of her cautious jump.

Yui was in Cid's face within mere moments due to the shorter-range jump that she had just employed, driving her spear towards the man to the best of her abilities...

Yui was confused by the height of Cid's jump, watching him shrink into the distance. Did she just watch someone commit suicide? She had no idea, but she kept her guard up regardless.

She knew full well how high one could get with a jump, but had no idea how far Cid could potentially travel back. She maintained her defensive posture, watching Cid cautiously with hope that he'd be able to return.

After all, he didn't seem like a bad guy.

Cid appeared only to be a tiny spec, as the fast moving Sierra left him in mid-air after Cid jumped to the sky. He had a smirk on his face the entire time he was up in the air. He wanted to show Yui how to properly dive after a Jump. So he made sure he dove at a distance that Yui could still observe him.

Using his body and the power of his thrust, Cid generates a whirlwind like energy around him propelling him like a bullet. He flew not down, but towards the Sierra, just beside Yui.

But he wasn't done, after his spectacular thrust, Cid quickly thrusts his spear at Yui's throat, stopping only mere inches away from her skin. Afterwards Cid leaps backwards and poses with an open stance.

"You see that? That is just a normal Jump. You should see me do a double jump." Cid bragged.

Yui watched Cid to the best of her abilities, watching him somehow propel himself back towards the ship and her. She was taken back for a moment as he caught up with the airship and landed beside her, giving him the opening he needed to strike.

He chose not to hurt her, but his attack brought her back to reality as his blade was mere moments away from her throat. She swung her spear wide as Cid jumped back, mostly out of reflex more than anything.

Yui shot him a smirk of her own, grabbing her spear with both hands and looping the thumb and index finger of her metal hand around the shaft of the spear, slipping the right hand back towards the base of the spear.

She did a little hop to close a minute amount of distance, getting Cid just barely within her spears range before shoving the weapon forward with her right hand, using the left simply to guide it. She waited until she got the maximum distance with the weapon before gripping the shaft with her right hand and tugging it back, shifting her hand back around the base of the shaft. With her palm against the bottom of the shaft, she clasped her fingers around it and gave a mighty push, forcing the spear forward once more as she repeated the process over and over again..

Cid expected that Yui would retaliate to avoid being embarrassed. He was able to parry all of Yui's strikes with ease. While parrying Yui's strikes he chuckled and said, "You are a lot like Jenn you know. Always full of pride and angst. It's not always about attacking first and attacking fast. Sometimes you have to be smart or you'll tire yourself out before you know it."

Cid then counter's Yui's final attack. He tapped Yui's spear with the butt of his, and used the momentum to swing his spear around his head aiming to slap Yui with the body of his spear. "If you're not defending yourself you leave yourself open to counter attacks!"

"After a spectacular counter attack, you can continue defending or finish with a strong move or if you're smart like me you'll use your head."

Yui was actually smiling as Cid parried her attacks, the ease in which he did bugged her ever so slightly but she was enjoying herself more than anything. She watched as he tapped the butt of his spear to hers, swinging his spear around his neck to strike back at her with the body of the weapon.

She brought her metal arm up in an attempt to defend herself, but couldn't quite make it in time. The spear forced her metal arm inward as it slammed into her side, forcing the air out of her and causing her to pause momentarily.

And in that moment the man had leaned away from her, suddenly leaning forward and shooting his head towards her. She didn't have any time to react, her vision going white, then black as the mans head crashed into hers with a loud crack.

Yui's vision began to fade as she stumbled back, falling to her knees as both of her hands gripped the shaft of her spear. Her legs were shaking as she tried to pull herself back up, her head shaking slightly in order to try to clear her head.
