| Chapter 6: Tangled FatesVestigllaQuest: The Truth(I will take control of Eligor in order to move the story)Despite having their blades sheathed comfortably inside their scabbards, the feel of danger was still in the air. For the Alferian guards were merely waiting, anticipating Agnes' every move. She must make no mistake, these guards were no mere pushovers, should she rumble with them things might take a turn for the worst on her end. On their way to the Chamber of Khyell, Grand Sorceress Ahmira, warns Agnes of the impending doom their world might soon face. Things that Agnes might have sent into motion without here knowing. Ahmira told Agnes about how Corneus' Seal was broken after the girl had killed him. She also explains to Agnes the consequences and what would happen should the Seals be broken and the monstrous terror released. But before she could come to the end of her warning, they arrive at the entrance of Khyell's domain. Eligor, who is on a mission to gain the powers that would allow him to control Agnes, is still trapped inside. It may have been just a few hours outside, but for Eligor it was much longer. An tingly sensation came from within Agnes's body. It was her demon, Nero, trying to communicate with her. Nero was no longer in his dark and fiery environment, he was basked in light, unmoving and alone. Nero warned Agnes, that he felt something sinister coming from the Grand Sorceress and Nero sounded like he was concerned. His exact words were: "Hey... Listen...I'd be careful with that one if I were you. She's hiding something even my eyes are not permitted to look through, something far worse than me. Don't get us killed."Eligor was nearing a decade inside the strange and endless world. By now he had learned more knowledge than most people. Yet his powers had decreased considerably, thanks to the Chakra draining leeches stuck to his body. The leeches on his body were impossible to remove, they never grew more than three inches, but they never stopped sucking away at his chakra. All this time he had kept and assembled Kay'r's journal and the seeds of doubt inside Eligor's mind had now blossomed into a young tree. According to Kay'r, Ahmira tricked him into entering Khyell's domain, searching for something that wasn't here anymore. After years of failure, Eligor had believed that perhaps Kay'r was right all along. Weak and exhausted, Eligor fell down as he was about to make his way into another room filled with books. He felt like he couldn't go on any further, he thought that perhaps this was his limit. By now, dying didn't seem like such a bad thing, after all he would finally be able to rest. He gives in to the compelling pull of his eyelids and falls into a deep sleep, as the leeches continued to drain him of his powers. With his body stripped of power and energy, it was in his dreams where he was able to find what he was looking for. He found himself afloat inside a pitch black realm, he also felt something moving, swimming, around him as if it was circling him. Then he heard a deep resounding voice, it said to him: "Rays in the dark sky, let us see your dignity..."Rays of light started emerging from within Eligor's chest and soon it overwhelmed the darkness of his world. What happened next was a mystery to everyone, even to Eligor. Light started coming out from the door of Khyell causing the door to burst open and out emerged the new and reforged Eligor. He looked mightier than before, having gained an awesome power. Nearly everyone was shocked at the event, save for the Grand Sorceress who uttered, "Just... in time."Upon exiting the rift, Eligor had his gaze set upon Ahmira. His eyes said it all, he had learned the truth and Ahmira could sense it. Whatever Zodiark told Eligor inside his dream was enough to cause his tree of doubt to grow a fruit. The two sorcerers met eye to eye and suddenly the air felt heavy. | |

| AGNES NERA Chapter 6: Tangled fates
Agnes had her doubts going in here. She knew full well that the only person she could trust was herself. Even the seemingly kind officer, who shared thoughts with her on the airship, could be playing her like a deck of cards. So~ having agree on "not" placing shackles on her was the right move for the Alliance. For had they persisted to bind her magic, Agnes would have no other choice but to destroy them all.~
At last Agnes meets with the Grand Sorceress of the pointy ears. Even before she even had any dealings with Grand Sorceress Ahmira, she had never liked her, not from what she's read. Agnes wasn't some peasant girl living off scraps, she belonged to a wealthy family back in Thanatos and was given an expensive education.~ She pretended to listen attentively to the Grand Sorceress, but Agnes wasn't the type to believe in stories so easily, especially not from one of her least favorite famous people in the world.
As she was walking with Ahmira, Nero said something to Agnes about how sleazy Ahmira was. But Agnes brushed Nero off because she already knew that and~ getting them killed~!? Is he crazy? There was no way in Mara's divine light did any of these pointy-eared long-necked tree worshipers had what it took to kill her.~
"Look~! I don't care what your reasons are.~ If I do this, we're square~ I don't want none of your people coming after me.~ That goes for you and your soldiers too." she pointed to Ahmira and Durendez. She was really hoping for an answer, but all of the sudden the room was filled with light coming from a magical door.~ Agnes had to cover her eyes to because the light was really hurting her vision.~ When the dust settled, someone came walking out from the magic door.
It was the WEIRDO~! That masked freak she met on Hellsgard, the same guy that had been travelling with her these past few weeks. Agnes was shocked and at the same time, slightly amazed at the weirdo's growth. Agnes could literally feel a great change in the masked weirdo's power, as compared to when she last saw him. She was impressed and felt a slight urge to challenge Eligor.
"Sooooooo~! If it isn't the weirdo~? What have you been up to~!?" Agnes was oblivious to the fact that there was some tension going on between Eligor and Ahmira. She wasn't being naive though, she was just not concerned because she knew none of these two were strong enough to fight her.

| Chapter 6: Tangled FatesVestiglla Quest: The Truth(Eligor has now become an NPC)For Agnes it had only been a few days since they last saw each other, but for Eligor it had been nearly a century for time passes differently inside the realm of Khyell. Eligor turned and saw Agnes standing there, she looked surprisingly happy to see him. Unfortunately he had mixed feelings with their reunion, after what Zodiark told him. He dodged Agnes' question and reverted his gaze back to Ahmira. Eligor ignored Agnes for now, he couldn't talk with her, not yet. He had to focus on more immediate threat. Kay'r was right about his assessment of Ahmira, and Zodiark confirmed it. "Grand Sorceress Ahmira. By the decree of our King, I hereby sentence you to die. For the use of BLOOD MAGIC." Eligor's made sure his words were loud enough for everyone to hear. Naturally, everyone in the room was shocked by Eligor's announcement and most of them didn't know what to do. But some of the Alfeirs who are loyal to Ahmira became angry at Eligor for accusing the Grand Sorceress and sentencing her of death. They demanded that Eligor be imprisoned for his false accusations. They thought that he had lost his mind during his time in the Sanctum of Khyell. But Ahmira silenced the crowd by admitting to Eligor's accusation. "It is true." she voiced out. "What Eligor said is true. I have used Blood Magic, because there was no other way. I sacrificed an innocent man to the sanctum, Kay'r F'ius and there isn't a day that goes by that I didn't regret what I did.""It was the only way I could stop it. The corruption." Ahmira exposes her bare chest to reveal a dark curse spreading from her heart out towards her entire body. She revealed that she was infected by the Corruption eight years ago, while on a quest to repair the Seals. The same mission where Durendez's son died. "I killed them. I couldn't resist the corruption it, I knew the only way to fight it was through blood magic."The news ignites a fire in Durendez that he's kept buried for a long time. He wanted to kill Ahmira. He pulled out his sword and swung at Ahmira. But Eligor stopped him with his magic. "But why!?" Durendez questioned Eligor. Both Eligor and Ahmira knew that Ahmira had to die in order to pay for her crimes and more importantly, to sever any connection the Old Gods have with her. But now was not the time for that, for Ahmira's Seal was still on the Old God's prison. Killing her would only aid in the destruction of the Seal and the release of the Old Gods. Eligor explains this to Durendez, to everyone. "Ahmira's crimes will not go unpunished. But first I must replace her Seal. When I'm finished, she will die."It was difficult for Durendez to stop himself from punishing his son's murderer, but Eligor was right. Ahmira's sentence would have to wait. Durendez restraints himself and sheaths his sword. Ahmira seemed to have accepted her fate, she still truly wishes to help Eligor and save the world from the Old Gods. But with each passing moment, it becomes more difficult for her to fight the corruption. It was time to replace her Seal, the sooner the better. She creates a portal that leads to the place where one of the Old God are being kept. "Allow me to help you one last time. I cannot take you any closer, The Whispers can pass through the portal, any closer and you'll start to hear them."Durendez turns to Eligor and tells him that he'll watch over Ahmira while he's away placing his seal. "I'll watch her. Go and do what you're supposed to." Durendez said to him. Eligor simply nods to show he agrees. Before Eligor could step into the portal, Ahmira notions for Eligor to take Agnes with him, she believes that Agnes will be immune to the Whispers and thus making her a valuable asset in this quest. But Eligor was unsure, especially after what Zodiark warned him about demons and their power. He leaves the choice up to Agnes, whether or not she comes is up to her. Eligor stood by the portal waiting for Agnes' decision. | |

| AGNES NERA Chapter 6: Tangled Fates
"Wait a minute~! What's going on here!?" Obviously Mr. Weirdo and the Old Hag had some beef between them. Agnes didn't care though, she just here to clear her name.~ Things got heated up pretty quickly~ Heck~! Even the scruffy Ramoan captain got involved, it probably had something to do with his son being killed by the old hag. Agnes wasn't really paying much attention and didn't really have a clear idea of what the hell was going on.
"Okay this is dumb~ If you guys want to fight don't do it around me.~ Because I am not impressed~!" She noted. It was silly~! I thought they were here to do a job, what kind of professionals are these guys?
Agnes must've missed the first couple of mentions of the word "Blood Magic". She was slow at picking up important details. But when her mind was finally able to process the mention of Ahmira using blood magic, she flipped and called Ahmira a "You Whore~! You used blood magic to save your own skin~! You could've just bound the seal magic to a durable item, like a medium, so even if you died the seal won't disappear."

| Chapter 6: Tangled Fates
Vestiglla Quest: The Truth
Agnes said something about using a conduit to sustain the magic seal. It seemed like an impossible task. But then again, she might be on to something. Ahmira was taken back by Agnes' words, but she was leading on to something that might just work. Items aren't used to power the Seals because they can break when tested by the old Gods. But unlike living beings, items doesn't have a mind nor a soul, meaning they cannot be corrupted.
As mentioned above, there are no items capable of withstanding the force of the Seal and the resistance of the Old Gods. This was based off on the knowledge of all known materials and objects found here on Lunaris. In short, unless there was an inanimate object powerful enough to be crushed by two very powerful opposing forces (The seal and the Old God's resistance), then what Agnes suggested was impossible.
"If only it were possible. There's no object here on Lunaris capable of withstanding the forces from both the seal and the Old Gods." Ahmira said to Agnes.
"Now is not the time for testing new methods! We have one that works. I'm going to improve the Seal on the only thing that's keeping the Old Gods from consuming this world. If you wish to stay here, then be my guest." Eligor said to Agnes before stepping into the portal.
Agnes now has a choice, she can either stay here and become a criminal forever, or she can Escort Eligor till he adds his Seal and gain an international pardon from the 3 factions.

| AGNES NERA Chapter 6: Tangled Fates
"Like I have a choice~! Fine~! Let's go meet the Old Gods~!" Agnes was slightly irritated after her idea was rejected by Ahmira. To her, these losers were simply not looking hard enough. Surely there's an item out there capable of becoming a medium for the magic seals, there has to be.~
Agnes was a little nervous to be honest, she didn't know where the portal would take her nor what awaited at the other side. But whatever it is, it can't be worse than what she's already been through~ can't it~?
"Okay... whatever let's just go~!" Agnes took a deep breath through her nose and exhaled sharply through her small-pink lush lips.~ Before finally walking through the portal~
"I hope that weirdo doesn't stay in front of the portal, I'd hate to accidentally kick him in the face~"
