Luc fought valiantly. Despite having no training, he still managed to kill a Snow Wolf on his own. However, his current skills were simply no match for the wild beasts. They used their numbers to their advantage, and Luc soon learns the harsh truth that comes with the cold.

But just when the wolves were about to deliver their finishing blow to Luc, a streak of white lightning blasted by the wolves, killing them instantly. The bolt was so hot, that it melted the snow and created a small stream of melted ice on the ground.

The lightning bolt came from some a great distance away, in the darkness of night. Whoever saved Luc didn't plan on revealing himself to him.
