She then tapped the bottom of the staff on the ground in front of her, as she tried casting throw a Protect and Shell spell to buff up Sakuya's defenses. She then cast a Magic Orb at the first of the three wolves. "Sakuya! Let's teach them a lesson, yeah?"

She hated when she had to fight wolves, as a wolfqin she generally got along with the creatures as long as they weren't too wild of a species. The black-haired nyanqin hopped backwards and immediately returned her focus to the fight at hand. She hoped Sakuya wouldn't be angry with her, but right now she needed to focus on her own survival. With the wolfqin currently being unable to help in the fight much, the girl was unfortunately more of hindrance right now. "Of course, it would help if these wolves would chill out~!" Maria let out a soft giggle at her own joke as she tried to change her orbs' type to freeze them solid.

Sakuya nods, she knew because she had neglected the basics of sword care that she had essentially become useless, especially as the wolves wouldn't attack her. So she ran back towards the town in hopes to take care of her sword and train a bit and if Maria does not return by the next day, to come into the woods once more and search for her.
