Chapter 3: Marlow vs Sailors

Marlow prepared for a fist fight with his butter knife (because that made sense), but soon realized that it was not a one-on-one affair when two sailors drew closer than comfort. He put away his butter knife and retrieved his racial short sword, realizing what kind of a fight it would be.

Sailor 1: "You know, for a second there I thought he'd actually try and fight with that thing."

Your second dice roll is invalidated. They are both physical, and while the appearance is different (singular rolls vs all at once), it comes to the same thing despite the crit in the second set. If you had rolled a magic dice or something different I might have allowed it, but re-rolling is a no-no when you already rolled the right one.

The sailors laughed as the kid failed to even touch Sailor 1, although as he did hit the second Sailor it wasn't quite as funny, the cuts he got earning a scowl and an eye twitch as they charged at him again.

Marlow still remained hopeful of winning even though he felt he was at half his pain threshold and decided to focus on taking out a single sailor at this point.

One boy against two men and Marlow was doing well. Not terrific but well. He felt his pride swell. Usually this meant something bad was about to happen to him.

"You're too tired, just quit!", Marlow hoped his wild swings would be enough to cause the second sailor to take a rest. He did not want to knock the man out; the captain would expect them all to be working again soon enough.
