It retains the actual shape of the Dark Lance, however there are some variations such as a surge of dark lighting surrounding the body of the lance. Also the tip of the lance is broader.
It's extremely hard to control, which is why the spell must be thrown immediately after conjuring. The spell is extremely destructive and can level an entire city.
