Dragons are legendary beasts, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits. They were one of the first beings created by the Ancient Primals when they first seeded this world. Dragons are powerful and dominant creatures with immense magical powers, based on their natural element.
They ruled every part of Lunaris until the Old Gods came and invaded the planet. Majority of the Dragons were enslaved by the Old Gods, and some of them were completely corrupted. But not all the Dragons became slaves, some of them resisted, many of them died. It wasn't until the return of the Primals did the resisting Dragons had the chance to defeat the Old Gods.
The remaining Dragons who sided with the Primals were empowered and made into Guardians. Their job was to safe guard the realm should the Old Gods ever be freed from their immortal prison. On the other side of the coin, the surviving Dragons who are still corrupted by the Old Gods, fled and went into hiding.
Eventually as time went on, the number of Dragons grew fewer and fewer. Their absence paved the way for a new species to thrive, men. Thousands of years have passed since the last Dragon died, and now there are no more Dragons left in the Lunaris.
