Character Appearance: Maria has semi-long straight black hair and emerald green eyes. As a Nyanqin she also has black cat ears on the top of her head and a black tail with the tip being white in color. She wears a black short dress with a white bow tied around the midriff. She wears a pair of black gloves that end shortly before her elbows, black and white striped stockings, and black leather combat boots. Around her neck she wears a black choker with a small silver cross hanging from it.

Character Personality: Maria has a semi-unpredictable personality, making it difficult for others to understand her sometimes. She loves to have fun and explore new places, always curious about things she has never seen before. She seems very childish at first glance, but she is very cunning and mischievous. Maria has a lot of energy and doesn't stand still for very long. She helps people in need that she comes across without expecting anything in return. However her personality changes drastically when she enters combat. She becomes very cold and calm, only speaking when she needs to. She also tends to toy with her opponents in battle if they are a significant amount weaker than her.

Character History: Maria was always distant from her family due to her having a somewhat unpredictable personality and the passing of her father did not help that fact. She had an thirst for adventure and would wander off sometimes to look for one. Her father was the only one who seemed to understand her sometimes unpredictable nature and her incredible love for adventure. The rest of her family thought that adventures were best left to knights and heroes, and being simple fishermen they had no desire to put themselves in more danger than they had to.

Her family treated her rather coldly or completely ignored that she was there after her father's death, since they didn't know how to deal with her and her habit of going on mini-adventures. So when she turned 18 years old she left her family behind to travel around on her own. She has been traveling about since then, looking for a place where she can find fun and adventure.
