| Hello,
in your advertising section, I can not create a new post to advertise our site as a link back. |

| Yep ^^. It's not uncommon for people to join sites just to promote a site. Some sites will even require you a certain amount of posts, and a format to follow when submitting an advertisement. All we ask is that you register with us, if it's not too much to ask ^^ | |

| After discussing it with one of my mods^^, I've decided to open the advertisement section to guests^^ so you may now post your advertisement there^^ | |

| Yeah, if you don't have to register on someone else's board to post, don't expect other people to do it on yours. You posted on my site and I just deleted it when I found out I had to register here. Tit for tat. Don't expect more than you're willing to give.
PS: I'm still waiting for my account here to be approved by a mod, so that's a lot of waiting for just an ad that would get buried in a week. |

I think I understand what's happening here ^^ I agree with you, that people shouldn't require other people to register on their site to advertise, if they themselves did not do so on other people's sites. Also the accounts are user activated, so you might want to look into that.First off, I have never advertised the site since, Mar to April. I did give permission for one of my mods to advertise the site, but if he used my name to do so, that's a whole new different story. ALL the sites I've advertised on required me to register and have a minimum post count. So when OSC told me that it's rare for forums to have this rule, I doubted him, knowing from personal experience the effort I exerted when I advertised FFMSL 4 to 5 months ago. But, if you meant "you" as a whole and in general, pertaining to the FFmsl community, then I finally understand why OSC was pushing for me to make the advertisement section available to guests.Secondly, the accounts are user activated. Meaning you just have to visit your email and click the activation code. If you didn't receive the email, just click the resend button. If you used, a fake email, then here lies the problem. If you still haven't received the email or used a fake one, then contact the staff here and tell us which one is your account. I have in front of me a list of inactive accounts that amount to 12 people. How will we know which one is yours? You have some concerns about the waiting time, so I'd like to know how long have you been waiting.Overall, I think this is all just a big misunderstanding, which can be resolved if you are just more open to one another, thus benefiting both sites. ^^ Also if you are having trouble getting your account activated, then please include the username you used, because your guest name is probably not the same as the username you used to register.^^ have a nice day. | |

| People should follow the forum's rules, not the rules of the other forum. Now tell me why I'm so wrong. | |
