The panthers were dead in seconds. The one that had attacked Gene was cut up, but the last one was cut into little more than ribbons of meat. It never saw it coming. Luckily the head was more-or-less intact so they could use it as proof of its death. But other than that is was little more than a pile of blood and flesh.
